Works closely with unit and field officers and other staff to monitor ICOTS notifications and other reports to ensure deadlines are met and audit standards are maintained. Provides support for the Interstate Compact Unit. Performs work requiring independent examination and management of records relevant to Interstate Compact issues. Provides assistance to Interstate Compact personnel, law enforcement agencies, institution and Probation/Parole officials as well as the general public. This position is telework- eligible. This is not a VALORs-eligible position.
Working knowledge of the criminal justice system. Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand file materials and legal documents. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, perform detail-oriented work, and function effectively and efficiently using a computer and web-based applications. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience working in VirginiaCORIS and the Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System (ICOTS).
