Position Summary
The Program Support Specialist provides administrative and program support to ensure the effective delivery of Pathway Resource Center's community outreach programs and services. This temporary, part‑time position assists staff with daily program operations, participant communication, record‑keeping, data entry, and general office support. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, compassionate, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced nonprofit environment while serving diverse populations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Program Support
- Provide administrative support for daily program operations.
- Assist with participant recruitment, registration, scheduling, and attendance tracking.
- Prepare program materials, packets, forms, and supplies.
- Attend community events to recruit participants.
- Maintain accurate program records and participant files.
- Assist staff with coordinating community outreach activities and special events.
- Support program setup, breakdown, and logistics as needed.
- Monitor inventory of program supplies and notify leadership when replenishment is needed.
Administrative Support
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
- Make phone calls and send emails.
- Greet visitors, clients, volunteers, and community partners professionally.
- Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents.
- File and maintain electronic and paper records.
- Assist with copying, scanning, mailing, and other office functions.
- Support scheduling of meetings and maintain shared calendars as assigned.
Communication & Customer Service
- Communicate professionally with staff, participants, volunteers, and community partners.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
- Respond to participant questions and direct individuals to appropriate resources.
- Assist with distributing program information through phone, email, and other communication channels.
Other Duties
- Assist other departments during community events and organizational initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the organization's mission.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience providing administrative or program support preferred.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and basic computer applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- Reliable transportation is preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Position Details
- Employment Status: Temporary, Part‑Time
- Schedule: 4 hours per day (approximately 20 hours per week)
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour
- Effective Dates: Now – December 18th, 20206
