Job summary

Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) is seeking an Assistant Program Manager in Paxton, MA to lead and supervise daily residential operations in our group homes. You will ensure high-quality individual treatment and maintain compliant records across funding sources.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate/bachelor’s preferred), strong communication, problem solving, and flexibility to cover evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's in human services preferred.
• Prior experience in behavioral health or residential settings is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and compassionate in challenging situations.
• Experience with electronic documenting and report writing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent problem solving and emergency response skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises daily programmatic functions including supervision/oversight of staff, upkeep of the residence and implementation of all aspects of individual treatment plans.
• Ensures complete and appropriate individual records are maintained per funding sources and CRJ policies.
• Oversee development and implementation of behavior plans, ISP objectives and all residential programming aspects.
• Participate in training of all new employees.
• Manages program funds and supervises client finances.
• Dispenses medications per MAP requirements as needed.
• Engages in upkeep of the residence.
• Ensures adequate program coverage and supervision.
• Carry out duties in a supportive and professional manner.
• Attend appropriate meetings as directed.
• Conduct physical restraints as needed.
• Extended standing, sitting and lifting as needed.
