Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on ensuring supplier quality across engineering, manufacturing and the supply chain, applying quality notes and coordinating with sub-tier suppliers to meet requirements.

You will participate in design reviews, process changes and qualification tests, while driving continuous improvement and KPI development. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews.
• Support design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews and equipment verification.

Our Quality Team in Tucson, AZ, is searching for a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer.

What You Will Do

• Candidates in this position must be able to participate in the resolution of technical issues with respect to product processes, systems and deliverables in engineering, supply chain and quality and at the supplier
• Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statements of work.
• Interpreting these requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.
• Interpret quality requirements (Q-Notes) and make decisions on Q-Note application to procured production parts
• Perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews
• Participate in design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation
• Facilitate closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to improve product/process quality
• Facilitate Program Reviews, Supplier Reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings
• Perform Supplier factory process walks and factory risk assessments
• Perform reviews of supplier manufacturing instructions and processes to mitigate escape risk
• Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
• Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
• Review Internal TDP change requests, Supplier change requests, and Supplier Statements of Work
• Contribute in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performance
• Communicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetings.
• Support the supplier corrective action process, review, approval and monitoring; assure containment, closed loop Root Cause Corrective Action is obtained; communicate issue and resolution to functional stakeholders
• Perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews, Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk.
• Identify and document supplier risk; develop mitigation plans to reduce, eliminate and prevent supplied product defects
• Ability to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
