Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) to serve as the primary quality interface with external suppliers. This onsite role requires interpreting technical requirements, leading corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include driving RCCA/SCAR actions, supplier risk mitigation, and collaboration with Engineering during design and review activities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience interpreting schematic drawings and validating compliance (hardware inspection techniques, documentation reviews).
• Experience conducting RCA and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience using quality tools (Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping).
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.

• Communicate and interpret technical requirements between supply base and Engineering for drawings and disposition of nonconformance.
• Travel up to 50% to support supplier assessments, audits and reviews.

We are looking to add to our team in Tucson by hiring a Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE). The PSQE is the primary quality interface between Raytheon's organization and the external supply base. The PSQE provides both communication of requirements and performance feedback to the supplier as well as being a conduit for Quality information back to internal functions/programs within Raytheon.

This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ .

What You Will Do

• Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including, but not limited to: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Product & Process Verifications, and Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
• Ensure flow down of product & process requirements to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works (SOW).
• Identify risk in the supply base and develop robust and executable supplier engagement plans to mitigate these risks.
• Communicate and interpret technical requirements as the liaison between the supply base and Engineering for drawing changes, and disposition of nonconformance to ensure supply base understands and complies with contractual requirements.
• Implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), including FRACAS investigations and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
• Oversee and/or conduct on-site Source Surveillance, Source Inspection, First Article Verification, and Corrective Action reviews.
• Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk, as applicable.
• Communicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetings.
• Drive quality activities and support as part of hardware management teams and participate in a cadence following up on quality initiatives and metrics
• Ability to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate domestic travel (Up to 50%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
