Job summary

Justice Resource Institute (JRI) seeks an Assistant Program Manager for the Developing Abilities program in Massachusetts. You will supervise a residential program, coordinate staff, and support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings.

The role includes scheduling, payroll reporting, handling records, ISP support strategies, and collaboration with guardians, families, and service providers. JRI offers training, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related Human Service field are preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to obtain MAP, First Aid, CPR and CPI certification.
• Have the proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both oral and written form.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an agency vehicle.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Prepare staff schedules and payroll reports.
• Manage program petty cash funds.
• Complete and maintain internal and external documentation including health care assessments, appointment forms and healthcare records.
• Manage individuals’ case records and other record keeping systems.
• Assist with developing and implementing ISP support strategies.
• Communicate with other service providers, guardians and families.
• Supervise program staff providing oversight, feedback on their performance, and hands‑on training, including formal training for staff on healthcare issues.
• Supervise and delegate duties to direct care staff.
• Implement and train staff on behavior plans and guidelines as needed.
• Provide on‑call assistance and supervision to program staff after hours and on weekends.
