Summary
The Program Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for AWBS' IDD services in Macomb County. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered services through staff supervision, clinical guidance, quality assurance, and compliance with agency, funder, and regulatory requirements. The Program Supervisor works collaboratively with individuals served, families, community providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes while fostering employee development and program excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to assigned direct service staff to ensure high-quality, person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Oversee field-based service delivery and agency worksites in Macomb County.
- Maintain a limited caseload, as assigned, to provide direct services and support program operations.
- Review and monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with agency and funder standards.
- Ensure staff maintain complete, audit-ready records and comply with documentation, training, and credentialing requirements.
- Assist in coordinating required staff training, including CPR/First Aid, Recipient Rights, Person-Centered Planning, and other mandatory education.
- Provide consultation and guidance to staff regarding service planning, crisis intervention, behavioral concerns, family dynamics, and coordination of care.
- Complete or oversee psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, person-centered treatment planning, and crisis response, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with families, guardians, community providers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality services.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with agency policies, CARF standards, Recipient Rights requirements, and applicable funder regulations.
- Attend funder, community, and interdisciplinary meetings as the agency's representative, as assigned.
- Assist the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer with employee performance management, evaluations, corrective action, scheduling, staffing, and other supervisory responsibilities.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports excellent service delivery and employee engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a Supports Coordinator, Case Manager, or similar role.
- Experience supervising Supports Coordinators or Case Managers preferred.

This position involves driving to see clients throughout Macomb County.
