Job summary

Terros Health is seeking a Program Supervisor for the Community Living Program, based in Tempe, AZ. This full-time, in-office role oversees two locations and ensures clinical services meet contract and client needs.

Responsibilities include directing program operations, staff supervision, data collection, and coordination with external partners. A strong background in behavioral health and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with related behavioral health experience.
  • Associate/Bachelor/Master in behavioral health with related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisor experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and MS Office.

Under supervision of Program leadership, the Program Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the assigned Terros Health - Community Living Program/Flexcare Program location(s) in providing clinical therapeutic services to an adult population composed of substance-using, SMI, dual-diagnosed and/or referred persons.The Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned location and employees, to include performance management, training, scheduling/coverage, crisis management, client screenings/assessments and required documentation.

Full-Time Employed: 40 hours/week

M-F 8:30a - 5:30p

Locations: Tempe, AZ 85282 and Mesa, AZ 85201

This role manages two Community Living Program locations

Duties Include:
  • Directs program functions; implements standards, policies, and procedures governing the performance of the program
  • Revises services according to demonstrated client need and the program’s contractual requirements
  • Develops and implements site-specific plans that support Terros Health's strategic plan
  • Develops program goals and objectives
  • Defines and recommends objectives at site and issues specific objectives to direct reports
  • Refers to the Program Manager or Director on matters requiring clarification, interpretation, or exception to policy or budget, develops and implements plans for program staffing patterns and facilities
  • Coordinates communication and collaborates with other components of the organization and outside agencies involved with the program
  • Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination
  • Consults with all segments of management responsible for policy or action
  • Keeps supervisor and employees informed as to program plans and progress
  • Fosters strong community relations and maintains productive working relationships with neighbors, landlords, area professionals, and organizations to coordinate client services
  • Collects and maintains quality improvement data and program performance measurements
  • Generates and maintains medical, organization, and program records including conducting preliminary and followup audits
  • Requests and receives information, and updates information/forms according to established formats and timelines
  • Selects and maintains qualified employees in all assigned program positions
  • Provides orientation and on-the-job training for direct reports
  • Ensures that the duties, responsibilities, authority, accountability, and performance standards of all direct reports are defined and understood
  • Identifies training needs, initiates development of direct reports, proactively manages performance and conducts performance reviews as required

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED, as well as a combination of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health and full-time relevant experience in a behavioral health setting totaling six (6) years, OR
  • An associate’s degree in the behavioral health field and a combination of education and full-time relevant experience in a behavioral health setting totaling four (4) years, OR
  • A bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field and a combination of education and full-time relevant experience in a behavioral health setting totaling two (2) year, OR
  • A master’s degree in the behavioral health field.
  • A minimum of 1 year supervisor experience, preferred.
  • Customer service skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills and work independently, with flexibility, and within prescribed deadlines.
  • Proficiency with computer-based systems including electronic health records, Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
  • Must have a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply for an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screening.
  • Must pass a typing assessment with a speed of at least 25 wpm.
