Job summary

Seneca in Salinas, CA seeks a Program Supervisor for Day Treatment Intensive services to lead clinical quality, operations, safety, and staff development for youth aged 12–17.

You must hold a CA BBS license (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC), have a Master’s degree in a related field, and 3+ years in crisis programs. On-site, Mon–Fri, 8:00–16:00, with a competitive salary and benefits.

  • At least 3 years of experience in crisis program or related field.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall quality of the Day Treatment Intensive location.
  • Lead personnel functions including hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Meet weekly with the Program Director.
  • Prepare and submit program reports.
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and family sessions as needed.

As the Program Supervisor, you’ll lead a dedicated team providing short-term stabilization services to youth as they build skills to thrive at home, school, and in their community. You’ll oversee clinical quality, program operations, safety, and staff development while creating a supportive treatment environment. Working closely with the Program Director, you’ll help recruit, train, and mentor a strong team and build relationships that support the program’s success. This is an opportunity to use your leadership and clinical expertise to make a meaningful impact for youth and families. This role requires a California BBS license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

ABOUT STEP

The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress) Programme is located in Salinas, CA. STEP provides intensive, day treatment intensive short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12 - 17, for an average of 15 days. Our goal is to reintegrate our youth into schools and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the overall quality of the assigned Day Treatment Intensive location
  • Perform personnel functions including overseeing the program development, interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluation of all staff
  • Participate in regular meetings with collaborating community partners
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources
  • Prepare and submit all necessary program reports
  • Meet at least weekly with the Program Director
  • Approve documentation including incident reports, mental health notes, DSM-V diagnoses, treatment plans, and other clinical documents
  • Address individual training needs for team members
  • Provide support including facilitation or co-facilitation of group session, conducting risk assessments, facilitating intakes and family therapy sessions, and holding client cases as needed
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response training
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
  • Master’s degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work, or related subject area
    • Fully licensed with California BBS: LCSW, LMFT or LPCC
  • 3 years of experience in crisis program or related field
  • At least 21 years of age
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

Schedule
  • Full-time, Onsite
    • Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM

  • Starting at $96,074 - $110,074per year, commensurate with experience
  • Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
