Job summary

Concern Housing in New York seeks a Program Supervisor to oversee the residence, ensuring client growth, safety and the effective delivery of rehabilitation services while maintaining compliance with requirements. Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 8am–4pm.

The role involves supervising direct care services, training staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, reviewing charts, coordinating schedules, intake, and collaboration with community providers.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work or related mental health field with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and sound judgment in client care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with supervision and coordination of all direct care services.
  • Train and supervise assigned staff on-site.
  • Ensure program and residence comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Review closed client charts and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Coordinate staff schedules including per diem staff.
  • Coordinate house meetings and liaise with Resident Counsel.
  • Participate in weekly supervision meetings with the Program Director.
  • Assist staff and clients with securing entitlement income.
  • Maintain occupancy rates and oversee intake process and admission documentation.
  • Comply with NYSOMH, LIHTC, AHP regulations and other requirements.
  • On-call crisis intervention responsibilities.
  • Remain current with all agency compliance documents and trainings.

Job description

Concern Housing is seeking a Program Supervisor to be responsible for the overall supervision and management of program site and is responsible for managing the residence in a manner which promotes client growth, safety, and the effective delivery of rehabilitation services. In addition, the Supervisor is responsible to oversee operations such that they maintain compliance with all program requirements.

Days/Hours: Tuesday - Saturday; 8am - 4pm

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of all direct care services.
  • Primary responsibility for supervision and training of assigned staff, as well as on-site training and supervision of all program staff.
  • Ensures that program and residence are in compliance with all regulatory guidelines regarding client care, safety and delivery of services.
  • Responsible for reviewing closed out client charts upon discharge and ensuring that all documentation is complete.
  • Acts as a liaison with other service providers as well as with community agencies.
  • Assists with the coordination of staff schedules, including Per Diem staff.
  • Coordination of house meetings and liaison with Resident Counsel.
  • Perform periodic staff evaluations; participation in hiring and dismissing of staff.
  • Participation in weekly supervision meetings with the Program Director.
  • Responsible for assisting staff and clients with issues related to securing and maintaining entitlement income.
  • Flexibility in scheduling according to program needs.
  • Assist Program Director with maintaining program occupancy rates including but not limited to the intake process, collection of supporting documentation and admission process.
  • Compliance with NYSOMH, LIHTC and AHP regulations, as well as other regulatory requirements.
  • Weekly supervision with staff including weekly client review and ongoing chart review.
  • Monitoring client charts for timely submission of paperwork, and qualitative review of progress notes, services plans and reviews, functional assessments and other required documentation.
  • Periodically fulfill responsibilities of Service Coordinator as assigned and as needed in times of staffing turnover.
  • Cooperation with the Property Department regarding site maintenance.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures as set forth in Concern's personnel manual.
  • Crisis Intervention including On-Call Responsibilities.
  • Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Director.
Requirements

Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related mental health field with at least 3 years experience working in a similar setting and/or working with people with mental illnesses. The individual in this position must have good leadership and supervisory skills, good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to make sound judgments regarding client care.
