Job summary

Georgia Department of Revenue is seeking a Program Specialist (State Based Exchange) to coordinate initiatives supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, promote Georgia Access for Business (GAFB), and collaborate across agencies.

Under supervision, you will develop and deliver workshops, webinars, and educational materials; collaborate with internal units; conduct outreach to underserved communities; and track participation and outcomes to measure impact and guide improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and one year of experience required at the lower level Prgm Consultant 1 or equivalent.
  • Experience handling program coordination or community outreach is a plus.

Job Title:

Program Specialist (State Based Exchange)

$67,000.00

Under supervision, the Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives designed to assist entrepreneurs and small businesses in achieving growth, compliance, and long-term success. This role serves as the point of contact for promoting Georgia Access for Business (GAFB) and building relationships within the community.

Implement and manage components of the department's program, including training, outreach, and support activities for business owners and entrepreneurs.

Develop and deliver educational workshops, webinars, and informational materials.

Collaborate with internal units and agency departments to coordinate resources and services.

Conduct outreach to underserved or emerging business communities to increase awareness of available support programs.

Track program participation, outcomes, and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Attend regional outreach events, including in-person engagements such as informational sessions, employer meetings, and agent training.

Assist in developing and maintaining business resources, toolkits, and guides.

Prepare reports, presentations, and success stories highlighting program impact and participant achievements.

Stay informed of trends in small business development, entrepreneurship, and state and local regulatory requirements.

Represent the agency at community events, business expos, and stakeholder meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Prgm Consultant 1 (GSP090) or any other combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job.
