Job summary

The Program Specialist is responsible for overseeing residential operations and directly supervising the Residential Manager and Direct Support Professional employees in the assigned group homes. The Program Specialist directs a variety of cross-disciplinary services for residents in the assigned group homes, including progress notes, ISPs/assessments, etc., as outlined below.

• Coordinating the completion of assessments.
• Participating in the individual plan process, development, team reviews and implementation in accordance with Chapter 6400.44.
• Providing and supervising activities for the individuals in accordance with the individual plans.
• Supporting the integration of individuals in the community.
• Supporting individual communication and involvement with families and friends.
• Planning and evaluating all therapeutic care and treatment programs for residents-hierarchy of care, active treatment, and agency expectations for employees and regulatory compliance.
