Job summary

Sauk County is hiring a Program Specialist - Business to support the Human Services department. The role involves entering deposits, processing accounts payable, purchases, and program authorizations, plus providing back-up support to payroll and purchasing staff.

You will assist the Justice Diversion Program, manage payments and provider contracts, and handle reception duties as needed in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Human Services or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting and/or Accounts Payable, Reception, or Purchasing experience.
• Experience in a Human Services environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter payments into the financial system and make deposits with the County Treasurer.
• Assist with Social Security application processes and authorize payments.
• Prepare purchase orders and enter authorizations in the electronic health record.
• Maintain agency provider contracts and gather training information.
• Provide reception duties and route visitors and calls.
• Serve as program support for the Justice Diversion Program and related services.
• Enter provider charges into the managed care/financial system for payment.
• Back-up payroll duties as needed.
