Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a Program Specialist – Lifesharing in Pennsylvania to support individuals with IDD and Autism, promote independence, and coordinate ISP goals. You will monitor service quality and ensure regulatory compliance within Pennsylvania Chapters 6100 and 6500.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree and one year of experience directly supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience directly supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
  • Associate Degree and four years of experience directly supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
  • High School Diploma/GED and six years of experience directly supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.

Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, choice, and person-centered planning for individuals with IDD and Autism.
  • Support individuals in achieving goals and outcomes identified in their ISPs.
  • Monitor service quality to ensure health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
  • Conduct assessments and complete required documentation within established timelines.
  • Ensure services and supports are documented in compliance with Pennsylvania Chapters 6100 and 6500 regulations.
  • Maintain organized and accurate individual records and program files.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to Lifesharing Providers and Direct Support Professionals.
  • Facilitate training and educational opportunities for providers and staff.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with families, SCOs, AEs, ODP, and partners.
  • Serve as the program's Incident Management contact and monitor incidents in EIM system.

What You'll Do
  • Foster an environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, choice, and person-centered planning for individuals with IDD and Autism.
  • Support individuals in achieving goals and outcomes identified in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Monitor service quality to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
  • Conduct assessments and complete required documentation, including quarterlies and SEEPs, within established timelines.
  • Ensure services and supports are documented in compliance with Pennsylvania Chapters 6100 and 6500 regulations.
  • Maintain organized and accurate individual records and program files.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to Lifesharing Providers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Facilitate training and educational opportunities for providers and staff.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with families, Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs), Administrative Entities (AEs), the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), and other community partners.
  • Serve as the program's Incident Management contact, monitor incidents through the Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) system, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support outside of regular business hours as needed.

Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience directly supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.

In addition, candidates must possess:

  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania Chapters 6100 and 6500 regulations
  • Understanding of person-centered practices and the Everyday Lives philosophy
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout assigned service areas
  • Ability to maintain required clearances, certifications, and compliance standards
Preferred
  • Experience in Lifesharing services or residential IDD programs
  • Experience facilitating training, coaching staff, or supporting provider development
  • Knowledge of Incident Management procedures and EIM documentation systems
Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Schedule based on program and business needs
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Participation in an on-call rotation required
  • Regular travel throughout Pennsylvania for home visits, provider support, and meetings
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk
  • Ability to reach, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb stairs as needed
  • Ability to use computers, telephones, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively through speaking, hearing, and visual observation
