Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, this position has the responsibility to develop, coordinate, and assist in supervising programs for general/special education students; provide consultative, support and advisory services to teachers, parents, administrators, and staff; oversee the development and implementation of prevention/intervention programs for students with and without disabilities; coordinate Section 504 District-wide; oversee special education and student information system database integration to ensure data are secure, accessible, accurate, and reliable for the District; assist with the facilitation of expulsion proceedings; assist in the development and implementation of district policies and budgets relating to the district program responsibilities; provide leadership in articulating and coordinating the programs through the various district organizational levels; assist district/site level administration in the evaluation of certificated and classified personnel staff within specified program areas
