Job summary

MADD in Maryland is seeking a program administrator to organize and implement underage drinking and drunk driving prevention programs at the State and Local level. You will manage program administration, liaison with grantors, reporting, and ensure adherence to policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in community health programs and grant administration.
  • Travel and flexible hours are required.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in changing priorities.
  • Must meet deadlines and follow directions on assignments.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook; basic data entry.
  • Commitment to social and ethical standards in work and community.
  • Maintain workplace confidentiality and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop events targeting objectives and market the program to community agencies.
  • Ensure grant proposals reflect MADD directives.
  • Manage implementation and logistics of prevention programs at state/local levels.
  • Organize orientation, evaluation meetings, and facilitator training.
  • Recruit volunteers as needed for programs.
  • Provide training, guidance, and motivation to volunteers and staff.
  • Maintain data tracking of program results and financial reports.
  • Identify underutilized resources and provide timely assistance.
  • Support national program evaluation measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Organize and implement all aspects and technical portions of core and supplemental underage drinking and drunk driving prevention programs for targeted populations at the State and Local level. Responsible for all program administration including regular liaison and reporting, achievement of established performanceobjectives, development of programs to achieveobjectivesand adherence to all program and/or grant policies and guidelines.

This is a remote position that does require the selected candidate to reside in Maryland. The salary for this position is $50,000 annually

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that goals andobjectivesasdesignatedby MADD management and/or the grantor are achieved by developing and designing events targeted toaccomplishspecificobjectivesand providing marketing and outreach of the program to community agencies.
  • Ensure that grant proposals include MADD’s program directives.
  • Manage the implementation andlogisticsof underage drinking prevention programs through the design and facilitation of training programs at the State and Local level.
  • Organize and host orientation meetings, evaluation meetings, facilitator training and facilitation of student presentations.
  • Source and recruit volunteers, as needed, for applicable programs.
  • Provide training, guidance,supportand motivation to volunteers and staff by conducting training meetings, telephonecoachingand on-siteassistance.
  • Maintain tracking and data collection of programs and/or grant results, financial reports, and the progress for evaluation and improvement.
  • Identify areas that are not fully utilizing the resources available and ensure assistance is provided in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the implementation of National program evaluation measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in relatedfieldsuch as Human Services or equivalent experience.
  • One to two years’ experience inworkwith the implementation of community awareness, education,partnershipand youth programs specifically related to community health.Previousexperience working with programs or grant administration helpful.
  • Travel and flexible hours arerequired.
  • Strong organizational skills, be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and convey thoughts clearly, logically, and concisely both orally and in writing, usingappropriate grammarand command of the English language.
  • Ability to work both independently and with others to resolve issues andmaintaincomposure and professionalism in an environment of changing and/or multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work on a timetable, meet deadlines, follow instructions, and accept direction on given assignments.
  • Must havedemonstratedcomputer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and be familiar with entering data into on-line systems.Shouldalso have basic record keeping and math skills.
  • Ability tomaintainsocial, ethical, and organizational standards in job related activities, at work and in the community.
  • Ability tomaintainworkplace confidentiality and take ownership/accountability for own actions and aspects of the job.
