Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; or a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a special education classroom.
- Minimum of three years' administrative experience in an educational setting.
- High level of competency with online research. Able to use computers and software applications at a proficient level.
- Excellent organizational skills. Able to manage multiple, changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills. Able to clearly respond to questions regarding curriculum, resources, and materials.
- Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Ability to engage intellectually and physically in all components of the work process.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with all constituents (administrators, colleagues, clients/students, parents, volunteers, and others).
General Duties And Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Education, the Program Resource Coordinator assists in the curriculum management process to ensure appropriate curricula are ordered, received, distributed, and returned according to established protocols. The Program Resource Coordinator supports teacher and student access to curriculum materials and assists with the facilitation of whole-school, standardized and norm-referenced testing sessions as needed. In addition, the Program Resource Coordinator supports with the coordination of summer camp and respite weekends.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Barcode, organize and catalog all current curriculum, materials, and resources for The Vanguard School including the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Order, track, log, bar code and distribute new curricula as needed.
- Research, order, and inventory appropriate curriculum resources for ESY program supporting the annual ESY theme.
- Enter required data onto the teacher resource database (i.e. Textbook Tracker) for staff members to view campus-wide resources that are available for use. Address routine questions from teachers.
- Upload instructional materials and directions from CD-ROMS to the public drive for teacher use. Prepare and/or adapt directions as necessary to assist teachers in utilizing curriculum materials.
- Develop and maintain a campus-wide system for teachers to access Foss Science kits.
- Prepare and maintain a summary of all available curriculum resources for teacher access.
- Assist in the research of and provide electronic access to specific subject materials and enrichment activities for teacher use in all grade levels.
- Work with the educational technology coordinator to obtain iPad applications aligning with curriculum programs for teacher and student use.
- Schedule, coordinate, and assist teachers with classroom testing sessions, including but not limited to school-wide testing initiatives, state and standardized tests, and other norm-referenced curriculum and instruction initiatives.
- Schedule, coordinate, and assist in the facilitation of professional development webinars that support the implementation of Curriculum & Instruction initiatives.
- Assist business office with the processing of registrations, contracts, payments/invoices and purchase orders for ESY, summer camp, and respite participants through the Camp Brain software application.
- Prepare and order materials for the Vocational Immersion Program (VIP), and Vanguard camp and retreats.
- Coordinate substitutes for ESY.
- Assist with other administrative duties and program operations as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information relating to the organization and its programs, students, parents, staff, clients, donors, and board members.
- Maintain a professional, confidential and ethical relationship with colleagues, students and parents at all times.
- Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings, in-service meetings, and other meetings as required.
- Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned.
