Description
Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties, including typing correspondence and taking reservations. Collects money, performs daily revenue balancing, greets visitors, answers phones, and maintains files, records, and reports. Performs a wide range of program and staff scheduling, along with informational and preparatory support for programming.
Performs receptionist duties, greets visitors, and answers inquiries on a variety of topics. Takes messages and directs calls. Operates various office equipment.
Performs a wide range of scheduling; enters programs, facility uses, takes reservations, and related activities into the Park District's Reservation System (collection of money and preparation of related records and reports). Assists with park opening and closing; cleans and maintains facility.
Performs special projects and related duties as required or assigned.
RATE OF PAY: $16.43 per hour
INTERNAL POSTING DATES: Friday, October 2 through Monday, October 12, 2026.
Completion of secondary education; some college work preferred in the field of administrative support, public relations, customer service, data entry, point-of-sale accounting, or equivalent. Minimum of two years work experience in the prior mentioned field. Strong clerical, customer service, reservation-taking, and organizational skills are necessary. Experience in collection of money, balancing, scheduling, and public service preferred.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and undergo a background check. Must obtain CPR certification within two months of hire. Lorain County Metro Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who use tobacco.
