Job summary

Kamehameha Schools seeks an operational coordinator to lead instructional methods and guide staff in a Hawai'i-based program. You will coordinate curriculum delivery, participate in staff evaluations, and ensure continuity across day and night activities while fostering a welcoming environment for all participants.

The role supports curriculum development, provides educational leadership, and communicates effectively with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a directly related field.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to follow-up on details.
• Ability to deal with conflict involving staff, students, and parents.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Hawaiian culture and history specific to program island.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Experience in group dynamics, organizational techniques and team building.
• Ability to chaperone, instruct and supervise students while on hikes and long walks during field trips which may involve strenuous physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership and guidance on instructional methods to program staff.
• Coordinate and communicate program evaluation plan.
• Oversee program check-in/check-out and ensure student accountability.
• Assist in orientation, training, and evaluation of program staff.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are stored properly and safety protocols are followed.
• Act as a liaison to parents, family, and staff regarding program activities.
