Job summary

Girls on the Run Southwestern Suburban PA is looking for a part-time Program Operations and 5K Coordinator to support end-of-season 5K events and daily program tasks. The role requires strong project coordination, volunteer stewardship, and customer-service oriented communication across staff, coaches, families, and partners.

Reporting to the Program Director, this position averages 20 hours per week with potential during peak times and some travel, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating projects and people to meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a nonprofit setting.
• Comfort with teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and volunteering contexts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central coordinator for 5K events and seasonal projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams of staff and volunteers to execute plans.
• Maintain organized project documentation and meetings.
• Coordinate logistics for participants, coaches, families, and partners.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth events.
