Job summary

Girls on the Run southeastern Suburban PA is seeking a Program Operations & 5K Coordinator (part-time) to drive end-of-season 5K events and support program operations across sites and participants.

The role requires strong project coordination, excellent communication, and experience working with volunteers in a nonprofit setting. Reporting to the Program Director, the position may require evenings, weekends, and some local travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three to five years of experience with project coordination and/or management.
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening.
• Comfort and adaptability within new and changing environments.
• Experience supporting volunteers and coordinating events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central coordinator for 5K events and cross-functional teams.
• Lead a project team of staff, volunteers, and partners to execute event plans.
• Maintain detailed project plans and documentation; facilitate regular team meetings.
• Provide leadership for recruitment, onboarding, and support of 5K volunteers.
