Job summary

The Newton and Rochelle Becker Charitable Trust in Marin County, CA, seeks a Program Officer to join the Program Team and lead a portfolio of grantees. You will report to the Director of U.S. Grantmaking and work hands-on with grantees on funding strategies, outcomes, and shared goals.

Responsibilities include managing quarterly grantmaking, monitoring progress, and connecting grantees with other funders, with emphasis on advancing democratic values and supporting Jewish continuity and identity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of professional work experience.
• Knowledge of and/or participation in the Jewish community is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage elements of the quarterly grantmaking process with the Director of U.S. Grantmaking.
• Analyze grant requests for feasibility, budget sufficiency, organizational capacity, and alignment with BCT goals.
• Support grant agreements with payment conditions, outcome metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Monitor grantees through site visits, interim/final reports, and feedback.
• Engage with grantees and funders to foster collaboration and shared objectives.
