A leading nonprofit services firm is seeking a Program Officer to manage grantee relationships and oversee environmental grantmaking. This role will primarily focus on watershed restoration projects, requiring strong strategic, analytical, and relational skills. Pacific Foundation Services, LLC (PFS) is a professional services firm that currently partners with over 40 independent private foundations. PFS provides substantial strategic expertise through a staffing model that enables foundations to each be more efficient and effective, choosing from a curated set of services including programmatic and strategic advice, grants management and compliance, financial management, board development and governance, communications, and a physical home. The Program Officer serves as a key manager of grantee relationships assigned to multiple client foundations. The Program Officer performs due diligence on applicant organizations and participates in grantmaking planning, strategy, and evaluation relating to a variety of funding areas, with a majority focus on environmental grantmaking. This role will dedicate approximately 50% time to overseeing the Watershed Restoration Program at the Bella Vista Foundation, which focuses on the restoration and revitalization of key watershed ecosystems within specific geographic areas in California and Oregon and approximately 40% of their time across other grantmaking focus areas including, but limited to, environmental programs.
Range $106,000 to $112,000 DOE
