Job summary

Breaking Ground in Brooklyn's 90 Sands Street community hub is seeking an Office Manager to support daily operations for the program. This 35-hour work week position involves bookkeeping, scheduling, note taking, filing, writing letters, and maintaining client data, reporting to the Program Director.

You will be the front-line contact for building clients, coordinate petty cash and billing, manage calendars, and keep vendor files and office supplies up to date, while ensuring smooth

Qualifications

  • Two years related work experience.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work with a diverse and special needs population.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Experience working with homeless/formerly homeless populations preferred.]

Responsibilities

  • Direct and answer client questions.
  • Maintain petty cash, billing, check requests, and MetroCards.
  • Maintain facility and staff activity calendars.
  • Track vacations and attendance.
  • Maintain client data and files.
  • Keep an updated file of vendors, order and track supplies.
  • Maintain filing system.
  • Order and keep an inventory of office supplies.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Attend meetings and take notes.
