Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Program Manager in Elko, NV to oversee workforce development initiatives and ensure contract compliance. You will supervise local office staff, manage a caseload of participants, and collaborate with employers to align training with labor market needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 2 years' work experience in business to business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing or recruiting
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experience
• Familiarity with the communities being served and knowledge of local needs and resources
• Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends
• Friendly, professional demeanor; bilingual preferred
• Proven ability to work well in teams and independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Valid driver's license in good standing and proof of automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintain detailed knowledge of the local labor market; keep apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunities
• Develops plans with employers to identify job openings, training initiatives
• Supervises local office team to ensure quality and timely services
• Manages a caseload of participants and provides counseling and mentoring
• Assesses participant competencies, work history, education attainment, skills, and abilities
• Prepares and maintains accurate participant files reflecting program history
• Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to welfare and workforce programs
• Reviews eligibility of participants and documents staff activity in state systems
• Coordinates training activities to ensure operations staff are trained
• Delegates work and resolves issues to meet performance standards
• Participates in development and maintenance of SOPs and promotes partner communication
• Directs staff performance reviews and corrective actions as needed
• Drives program performance and compliance with contractual obligations
