V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Program Manager to join our team!

Modernization & Sustainment seeks a Manufacturing, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Program Manager supporting the Weapon Systems Integration (WSI) team in Indianapolis. The PM leads a multidisciplinary team within the WSI product line, focusing on enhancing technical program execution through effective leadership, clear communication, and structured feedback.

This leader will establish the vision for the program team, inspire exceeding objectives, and oversee adherence to schedules, costs, milestones, and technical performance. Responsibilities include preparing corrective action plans, coordinating proposals, and ensuring financial goals are met. The PM will work closely with aviation customers across US military branches to address program concerns and foster strong relationships. The focus is on development programs requiring a robust engineering background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the program's scope, schedule, costs, and technical performance.
  • Provide programmatic and technical direction.
  • Chair Configuration Control Boards and participate in Engineering Review Boards.
  • Lead Program Management Reviews and coordinate with customers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain trustful relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Prepare status reports and briefings for management and stakeholders.
  • Manage Earned Value and Estimates at Complete.
  • Own risks and opportunities related to the program.
  • Represent the company to senior customers, fostering growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with various functions (contracts, finance, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, mission assurance).
  • Escalate issues and risks appropriately.
  • Lead technical collaboration efforts.
  • Delegate tasks effectively.
  • Communicate with contracts and engineering teams regarding program status.
  • Understand and manage financial and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years in Manufacturing, Repair, and Operations (MRO).
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of additional relevant experience.
  • Experience leading development teams and managing system requirements.
  • Proficiency in program management practices, including scheduling, EVMS, financial control, and R&O management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with proven success in growing and leading programs or teams.
  • Innovative thinking supporting business objectives.
  • Strong ethical values based on trust and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with management and team members at all levels.
  • Must be a US Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in DoD program management or IPT leadership.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 lifecycle, acquisition, and development processes.
  • Experience with DoD MRO, production, depot, or repair programs.
  • Experience with military weapon systems or platforms.
  • Leadership experience in aerospace/defense contracting.
  • STEM degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proposal development experience, including Basis of Estimates.
  • Master’s degree or higher.
