Job summary

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with the learning network team to design and implement programs meeting learning, networking and professional development needs of professionals in philanthropy.
• Develop and facilitate trainings, cohort learning experiences, funder tables, and other workshops and gatherings.
• Coordinate program logistics, speakers and presenters, scheduling and AV, supplies and catering.
• Develop and incorporate evaluation methodology into all programs.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with philanthropic members and stakeholder organizations.
• Identify and leverage existing programs and new opportunities that engage members in democracy, diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Other duties as assigned.

Philanthropy Northwest is the philanthropy network for Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. The Job

We are looking for a motivated professional who is passionate and skilled in program management, facilitation and evaluation to develop and implement learning experiences for our network of philanthropic professionals from foundations across our six-state region. This position will engage frequently with Philanthropy Northwest members, community partners and other key stakeholders to develop, coordinate and facilitate programming that is relevant, timely and supportive of effective philanthropy in the Pacific Northwest.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with the learning networkteam to support the design and implementation of new and existing programs that meet the learning, networking and professional development needs of a broad spectrum of professionals in philanthropy.
• Develop and facilitate skills-based trainings, cohort learning experiences, funder tables, and other in-person and web-based workshops, meetings, or convenings to meet the mostrelevantprofessional skills for emerging and established leaders in philanthropy.
• Coordinate programlogistics, speakers and presenters, scheduling and logistical management such as audio/visual, supplies and catering.
• Develop and incorporate evaluation methodology into all programs.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with philanthropic members and key stakeholder organizations (public sector, NGOs and other philanthropy serving organizations).
• Actively participate as a member of the Philanthropy Northwest staff to identify, create and leverage existing programs and new opportunities that inspire, inform and engage our members in variety of areas including democracy, diversity-equity- inclusion and other areas where members seek to build capacity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated enthusiasm and knowledge of the philanthropic and/or the nonprofit sector and understanding of key areas including racial equity and social justice, capacity building, issues with rural and native/indegenous communitiesand program evaluation.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience managing projectsin the nonprofit or philanthropic sector, and facilitating high profile programs, trainings, workshopsand/or other learning experiences.
• Understanding of adult learning design and facilitation.
• Exemplary oral, written and online communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to manage relationships with integrity and consistency, including a keen ability to work effectively and respectfully with politically, ideologically, culturally and geographically diverse people and communities.
• Comfort with event planning, including logistics, marketing, speaker curation and coordination for meetings.
• Comfort with ambiguity, flexibility and adapting to shifting priorities and plans.

Salary and Benefits

The annual compensation for this full-time (40 hours/week) position includes a package of benefits consisting of medical/dental/vision insurance, pre-tax savings accounts for medical/transportation/childcare, vacation and sick time, retirement contribution by employer (6% of salary), transportation stipend, budget for professional development and flexible schedule. Salary range is $55,000-$70,000 depending on experience.
