Job summary

Harvard University’s Office for Sustainability seeks a Program Manager, Sustainable Buildings to lead the implementation of the Sustainable Building Standards, advance building decarbonization, and develop tools for project teams working on capital programs.

You will collaborate with Harvard Schools and Units, support third‑party certifications (LBC, LEED), and translate climate goals into concrete actions for both new and existing buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience including sustainability and decarbonization projects.
• Experience with Living Building Challenge and LEED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Programmatically manage SBS including HHBA and LBC Core certification.
• Develop tools and resources for capital project teams on SBS.
• Support decarbonization goals across capital and operational projects.
• Train project teams on SBS and HHBA implementation.
• Review project documents for SBS and sustainability alignment.
