Job summary

Harvard University, Office for Sustainability, seeks a Program Manager to lead the implementation of Sustainable Building Standards and decarbonization initiatives across capital and operational projects. You will collaborate with Schools, Units, and facilities teams to advance certified building standards and HHBA requirements.

The role requires expertise in LBC and LEED, strong communication, and the ability to manage cross-functional programs with stakeholders campus-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in sustainability and decarbonization.
• Experience with third-party sustainable building certifications (LBC, LEED).

Responsibilities

• Programmatically manage the Sustainable Building Standards (SBS) including HHBA and LBC Core volume certification.
• Develop tools and resources to support capital project teams implementing SBS and decarbonization.
• Provide guidance to project teams for third-party certifications and review project documents for sustainability alignment.
• Support the university-wide decarbonization strategy for buildings and energy code coordination.
• Develop communication and knowledge sharing mechanisms and support special sustainability projects.
