Summary L eads customer seating programs and manages the lifecycle and business performance of Jamco’s standard seating products. Accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, cost, schedule, requirements, and product performance while coordinating cross-functional teams, customers, OEMs, and suppliers.
- Lead the full lifecycle of seating programs and standard products across development, production, delivery, and in-service support.
- Develop and execute program strategies, plans, WBS, schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Cost/Finance, and other functions to achieve program objectives.
- Serve as the primary program interface with customers and OEM/STC applicants for program, technical, and contractual matters.
- Maintain ownership of standard seating products, including product changes, enhancements, rollouts, customer deliveries, and lifecycle performance.
- Manage customer and product change requests, evaluating impacts to scope, cost, schedule, resources, and requirements.
- Monitor product performance and customer feedback and drive improvements in product value, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, financial performance, and cost impacts; report performance and corrective actions to executive management.
- Identify, prepare, and negotiate contract change notices to protect program objectives.
- Identify technical, financial, schedule, and execution risks and develop appropriate mitigation and recovery plans.
- Lead customer and program milestone reviews, including ITCM, PDR, CDR, and other required reviews.
- Support RFQs and new-business opportunities by validating scope, cost, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing on product strategy, product knowledge, follow-on opportunities, and expansion of customer scope.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent relevant experience; engineering degree preferred.
- Typically 7+ years of passenger seating program management experience in the aircraft industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex aerospace programs and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of program planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, WBS, and change management.
- Experience with aircraft seating product lifecycle management, customer requirements, and OEM/STC coordination.
- Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent customer‑facing, interpersonal, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal functions.
- Successful completion of required pre‑employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities. Leads cross‑functional program teams through coordination, influence, and shared objectives.
Physical Demands, Travel & Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment and frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. Moderate domestic and international travel may be required to support customers and Jamco programs.
