The Supply Chain Operations Excellence Program / Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading, analyzing, and delivering a portfolio of solutions that enhance and expand the capabilities available to Hubbell Utility Solutions (HUS) business units. This role leverages deep expertise in purchasing, planning, inventory management, and warehousing processes, along with proficiency in SAP and Six Sigma methodologies, to effectively support and collaborate with Business Process Managers, SAP IT, and the Global Operations team. The goal is to ensure that technical solutions are delivered accurately the first time, minimizing the need for rework.

As a key member of cross-functional and cross-site teams within the HUS organization, the Supply Chain Operations Excellence Program / Project Manager works closely with the HUS Materials Business Process Team, HUS Operations Team, and Local Business Process Owners. Together, they implement projects and drive changes aligned with the strategic roadmap for future capabilities.

  • Lead and manage key projects with a strong onsite presence, ensuring efficient and effective implementation.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration across functions within Hubbell Utilities Solutions (HUS), collect cross-team requirements, develop key collaboration processes, and ensure processes are well guided for organizational efficiency improvement.
  • Communicate with leadership status, risks, recommendations with regular cadence ensuring robust insightful decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Business Process team, Operations Excellence team and stakeholders to identify, evaluate and address risks, opportunities and dependencies across projects and initiatives.
  • Support large cross-functional projects that impact a site, business, or entire Hubbell Utility Solutions Division related to materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning) accuracy and execution, supply chain efficiency and strategy, and material planning/forecasting.
  • Work cross functionally with the Hubbell Utility Solutions Materials Groups, Supply Chain, Operations, SAP IT Implementation Team, Hubbell Global Operations, and the Local Business units to implement and deploy SAP process improvements.
  • Develop recommendations for stakeholders based on process analysis and investigation.
  • Support development and maintenance of process maps for project and process improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and help develop functional / technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend procedural and/or process changes.
  • Provide timely and accurate project status to all organizational levels assessing impact, gains, and potential roadblocks.
What will help you thrive in this role?

⦁ Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business or Engineering.

⦁ Project management experience, PMP preferred.
⦁ Microsoft Project experience, preferred.
⦁ Six Sigma experience, a plus.
⦁ Experience in supply chain, business/plant operations, manufacturing, or engineering.
⦁ ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation experience using SAP, experience of full cycle implementation a plus.
⦁ ERP knowledge in the any of the following disciplines Production Planning, Materials Management, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Quality Management, Sales & Distribution a plus.
⦁ Capability to understand and analyze complex situations utilizing data analysis and systems thinking.
⦁ Effective communication (verbal, written) & collaboration skills with proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives.
⦁ Ability to capture business unit requirements and translate them to technical specifications.
⦁ Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes.
⦁ Ability to manage multiple projects.
⦁ Demonstrate success in the ability to lead initiatives by projecting a positive attitude and possessing the ability to motivate a team.
⦁ Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
⦁ Expert analytical and critical thinking skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control, and coordinate activities.
⦁ Experience in Kaizen events a plus.
⦁ Advance knowledge of personal computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Visio.
⦁ Ability to travel 50%+.
