Job description

Program Manager – Olsen House (Women’s Residential SUD Program)BHcare is developing a new Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Substance Use Disorder treatment program (ASAM 3.5) in the Greater New Haven area. This program will provide a highly structured, trauma-informed, and person-centered setting for female-identifying adults with moderate to severe substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. The program is designed to support individuals in reducing substance use, building sustainable recovery skills, and enhancing overall health and functioning.This is a 40-hour-per-week onsite position with a schedule of Tuesday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.As an Onsite Essential Staff position, the incumbent is required to report to work during inclement weather and other emergency situations, as business needs require.Candidates must reside in Connecticut to be eligible for this position.What You’ll Do:Program Leadership & OperationsLead daily operations of a women’s residential SUD treatment programEnsure delivery of trauma-informed, person-centered, evidence-based careOversee programming, engagement, and compliance with ASAM standardsClinical Leadership & Staff DevelopmentSupervise and mentor clinical staff, peer specialists, and residential team membersLead hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing staff developmentFacilitate team meetings and provide individual and group supervisionCompliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure adherence to ASAM criteria, regulatory standards, and payer requirementsMonitor documentation quality and program performancePrepare for and participate in audits and accreditation reviewsCollaboration & Direct SupportPartner with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated careProvide clinical support and coverage when needed (assessments, groups, crisis intervention)Build relationships with families, community partners, and referral sourcesWhat You Bring:Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (MSW preferred)Due to special needs of the population served, this position is a “Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ)” exception under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
