Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Program Manager, Microreactors to own end-to-end accountability for test or prototype reactor programs, from concept through hardware delivery and test completion. You will interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, regulatory, and executives to ensure objectives are met on time and on budget.

The role requires managing schedules, budgets, and risks, coordinating with DOE and DOD partners, and leading a cross-functional team to deliver

Qualifications

• Level 4/5 educational prerequisites with multi-year experience in large programs.
• Bachelor’s/ Master’s/ PhD in relevant engineering fields with 6–14 years of experience.
• Direct experience on reactor or other highly regulated first-of-a-kind hardware programs.
• Experience with earned value management and integrated schedules.
• Excellent communication and ability to brief executives and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Owns the program scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder alignment.
• Define IMS and WBS and manage program budget.
• Oversee hardware delivery and procurement for reactor components.
• Lead cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, safety and licensing.
• Maintain risk register and drive mitigation plans across technical, schedule, and cost.
