Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Program Manager, Microreactors to own end-to-end accountability for test or prototype reactor programs, from concept through hardware delivery and test completion. You will interface with DOE, DOD, and executives to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.

The role requires ownership of IMS/WBS, budgets, and risk management, plus leadership of a cross-functional team in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Level 4: Bachelor's in nuclear, mechanical, or electrical engineering (or related technical field) and nine (9) years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree and six (6) years; or a PhD and four (4) years.
• Level 5: Bachelor's in nuclear, mechanical, or electrical engineering and fourteen (14) years; or Master’s and eight (8) years; or PhD and six (6) years.

Responsibilities

• Owns program outcomes including technical performance, schedule, cost, and safety.
• Defines and maintains IMS and WBS.
• Manages program budget, forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting to leadership.
• Oversees hardware delivery, procurement, fabrication, and integration activities.
• Keeps a program risk register and drives mitigation for technical, schedule, cost, safety, and regulatory risks.
• Ensures compliance with nuclear safety, QA, and regulatory requirements.
• Leads cross-functional teams and communicates status to executives and customers.
