Marketing Program Manager – Messaging Governance (SMS/Email)

Location: 100% Remote (PST Hours)

10-month contract

We're seeking a pivotal individual to drive our messaging governance initiatives, focusing on catalog development, leveraging AI and automation for efficiency, and guiding platform evolution.

As the Program Manager for Messaging Governance, you'll play a crucial role in shaping how we manage and deliver customer communications. You'll lead strategic initiatives to enhance our messaging ecosystem, from initial cataloging to future-state platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Messaging Catalog Development: Drive the development of our messaging catalog, ensuring it accurately represents Marketing's interests and needs.
  • Innovate with AI & Automation: Ideate and explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation, especially for processes like message reviews and link checking, across our 6k+ messages to significantly enhance efficiency.
  • Guide Platform Evolution: Collaborate closely with our technology team to define and drive marketing requirements for the evolution of our messaging platforms, anticipating a new platform within the next 12 months.
  • Design Governance Frameworks: Design and establish a robust governance program, outlining how we ensure visibility into all customer messaging and implement effective audit and review processes.
  • Concurrent Project Management: Skillfully manage multiple program elements simultaneously, providing essential support for executive readouts and strategic discussions.

  • Program Management Expertise: Proven experience in a program management role, with a track record of successfully driving complex initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to conceptualize how technology and process improvements (like AI/automation) can solve large-scale operational challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including marketing, legal, and technology teams, to achieve shared objectives.
  • Process Design: Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing governance frameworks and operational procedures.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear executive readouts and compelling presentations.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.
