Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to develop and manage intake processes and workflows for marketing campaigns. You will collaborate with Communications, Creative, Operations, and business teams to coordinate work, manage priorities, and drive projects from kickoff to completion.

The role involves leading planning, facilitating meetings, and monitoring timelines while growing the marketing PM function and mentoring coordinators as the team expands.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in marketing project leadership.
  • Strong PM and organizational skills; handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with project intake, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience in Agile environments and applying Agile to marketing projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across teams.

  • Develop and improve marketing project management processes, standards, and templates.

Position Summary

As Marketing Project Manager, you will develop and manage project intake processes and workflows that support the successful delivery of marketing campaigns and initiatives. You'll work closely with Communications, Creative, Operations, and business teams to coordinate work, manage priorities, and keep projects moving from kickoff through completion.


You'll lead project planning, facilitate meetings, monitor timelines, and help teams navigate dependencies to ensure work is delivered on schedule and aligned with business priorities. This role will also help establish and grow the marketing project management function, with the opportunity to mentor and oversee project management resources as the team expands.


We are looking for a collaborative professional with strong project management skills, exceptional communication and organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to solving problems and improving how teams work.


Position Details


  • Develop and improve project management processes, standards, templates, and best practices for the marketing team.

  • Manage project reviews, approvals, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Identify opportunities to improve team workflows and project delivery.

  • Support the team's use of project management tools and Agile practices.

  • Help build the project management function by supporting resource planning and mentoring project coordinators as the team grows.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years managing marketing projects, campaigns, or cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience managing project intake with a strong focus on prioritization, balancing competing demands, and aligning stakeholder expectations across cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment and applying Agile principles to marketing projects.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Wrike, or similar tools.

  • Proven ability to identify process improvements and implement more efficient ways of working.

  • Agency project management experience is strongly preferred.
