Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team on multiple complex projects in Texas. The role serves as a lead technical resource on smaller projects, collaborating with management and stakeholders to inform on timelines and budgets, and to manage change orders.

Responsibilities include expediting materials, interpreting plans, assembling submittal packages, procuring equipment/services, and involvement in subcontractor selection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design (HVAC, plumbing) and general system operations.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office.
