Job summary

Reading Partners Minnesota is seeking a Program Manager to lead and develop AmeriCorps volunteers and community tutors across 4-6 schools. You will drive program quality, data-informed decisions, and collaborative partnerships with school and community stakeholders.

You will supervise a team, deliver tutor trainings for the Minnesota READ Act, and ensure high-quality, individualized literacy instruction for 600+ students in the region. This role is hybrid with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years working with elementary-aged students in a learning environment. Teaching, education, or education/afterschool program coordination experience is strongly preferred
• LETRS (preferred), CAREILL, or OL&LA certification programming
• Direct management experience with volunteers, interns, and/or emerging professionals
• Experience with literacy assessments, teaching strategies, translating data into action for students, and student data analysis
• Passion for service to others and the broader community
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel within defined geographic region
• Flexibility and adaptability in schedule, including some night/weekend time
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and database management
• Commitment to fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment
• Deep belief in Reading Partners’ mission and core values
• Ability to prove eligibility to work legally in the U.S. and be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Execute the Reading Partners program across 4-6 schools in Minnesota
• Supervise program implementation to help students meet literacy goals
• Ensure students are enrolled and placed in the correct curriculum
• Coach AmeriCorps volunteers to improve student outcomes
• Lead implementation and compliance with READ Act trainings in Minnesota
• Collaborate with Program Director and Reading Partners teams to maximize impact
• Monitor progress with data and adjust plans accordingly
• Be present at reading centers to coach and observe sessions
