Job summary

INTENT DESIGN LTD is seeking a Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software programs across multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. You will align with business strategy, manage cross‑project dependencies, govern stage gates, and drive measurable outcomes across the software lifecycle while growing the Customer Account.

This in-person role is based in Michigan with a salary of $110,000–$115,000 per year.

Qualifications

  • 7–15 years in program/project management or technical leadership.
  • Experience managing multi‑team or multi‑project software initiatives.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Expertise in dependency mapping and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Define program vision, objectives, KPIs, and success criteria.
  • Align program direction with product, engineering, architecture and business teams.
  • Coordinate multiple related software projects under a unified program.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, sequencing and integration points.
  • Ensure consistent delivery across distributed teams.
  • Establish governance models, stage gates and decision making structures.
  • Maintain program documentation, dashboards, and status reporting.
  • Leadership Engage with engineering, product, QA, security, DevOps and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate risks, issues, and progress clearly and proactively.
  • Facilitate alignment across cross functional teams.
  • Identify systemic risks across projects and build mitigation plans.
  • Manage escalations and unblock teams.
  • Drive change management for new processes, tools, or platforms.
  • Own program level budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Optimize team capacity and vendor utilization.
  • Track ROI and ensure financial discipline.

Customer Account Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud, APIs, integration, DevOps and architecture concepts. Ability to partner with engineering and architects to understand technical constraints. Ability to lead without direct authority. Skilled at negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management. Expertise in dependency mapping, risk analysis, and program planning. Strong documentation, reporting, and prioritization skills. Clear, structured communication with executives and technical teams. Experience 7–15 years in program/project management, product delivery, or technical leadership. Experience managing multi team or multi project software initiatives. Certifications (optional): PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
