Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a CAD Drafter to support planning, design, and documentation of facility layouts and manufacturing line setups. You will create accurate 2D and 3D drawings for production areas, equipment placement, utilities, and workflow optimization.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to meet safety standards and project timelines. Onsite Monday-Thursday in Jacksonville, with flexible Friday work location options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using computer aided design solutions.
• Experience in SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise CAD drawings for facility layouts, production lines, equipment, and support systems.
• Develop detailed plans for manufacturing line setup, including dimensions, clearances, and utility connections.
• Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision history.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to incorporate process improvements and layout changes.
• Support installation and startup activities by providing accurate technical drawings and updates.
• Verify drawings against site measurements, equipment specifications, and project requirements.

Where is the work: Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What is it for you: The CAD Drafter supports the planning, design, and documentation of facility layouts and manufacturing line setups. This role creates accurate 2D and 3D drawings for production areas, equipment placement, utilities, and workflow optimization. The drafter will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and project teams to ensure drawings meet operational requirements, safety standards, and project timelines.
