Job summary

Kern Community College District is seeking a Program Manager to lead assigned program activities focused on maintaining high-quality academic and student services programs. The role reports to the Programs Director or a supervising administrator on a campus.

The successful candidate will oversee Lavender Initiatives, support student parents, coordinate campus events, manage staff and budgets, and apply evidence-based practices to improve outcomes for student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of experience related to area of assignment.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student and employee backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lavender Initiatives and LGBTQIA+ student support, coordinating with faculty and Academic Deans.
• Develop and coordinate services for student parents and dependents, improving access to childcare information, financial aid, basic needs, and academic support.
• Support campus events and programming by liaising with the Office of Student Life and campus partners.
