Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Program Manager III for Organizational Effectiveness to lead multi‑disciplinary programs from start to finish, coordinating requirements, schedules, risks, and updates with cross‑functional partners across offices and time zones.

You will drive initiatives in silicon product areas, report to the Chief of Staff, and partner with executives to improve organizational effectiveness, hiring velocity, culture, and operational excellence.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will lead multiple strategic programs for the Google Cloud Silicon organization to achieve its organizational goals. You will have the opportunity to work with teams who are developing products that are used across Google and the world. You will report into the Chief of Staff team and work closely with c‑level executives.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $159,000‑$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Determine phasing and metrics associated with program life‑cycle that effectively address continuous improvement and product area success by identifying areas to accelerate, change course, cancel, or scale effectiveness of programs.
  • Support organizational leaders with communication, effectively manage forums such as all‑hands and staff meetings and other product area publications.
  • Support the preparation and materials for external and internal meetings including creating decks, understanding technical specs and facilitating mutual understanding of needs.
  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of executive cross‑functional leads and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
  • Identify opportunities and drive execution to increase organizational effectiveness and operational excellence in the silicon chip product area, on topics such as hiring velocity, site expansion, team culture, organizational capability and meeting optimization.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience working in silicon or semiconductor environments.
  • Experience partnering with C‑level executives.
Preferred qualifications
  • 5 years of experience managing cross‑functional or cross‑team projects.
  • Experience in change management to transform an organization’s culture and operations.
  • Knowledge of silicon chip development and silicon foundries.
  • Ability to demonstrate executive presence, effectively grow relationships and deepen partnerships.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever‑changing environment.
