Job summary

Care New England Health System (CNE) seeks a Program Manager II at The Providence Center to oversee daily program operations and develop recovery services for individuals affected by substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will lead teams, promote evidence-based practices, and coordinate with community partners to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years in a peer support setting; supervisory experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years lived experience with substance use and/or mental health disorders.
Must have valid driver’s license, registration, current inspection, and insured automobile.
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist required.
Strong leadership, supervision and team-building skills.
Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery pathways, and community resources.
Experience in behavioral and/or mental health preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (including Excel), data analysis and report interpretation.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to travel within the community with reliable transportation.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Manage daily team operations and activities to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
Manage procedures, systems of continuous improvement, metrics and outcomes.
Support staff hiring, onboarding, training, development and performance evaluations.
Address performance issues, provide coaching to team members and promote a collaborative, professional team culture.
Manage program budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation. Oversee program expenditures.
Provide back up to staff when needed by performing all duties associated with Peer Recovery Specialist.
Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate comprehensive care for participants.
Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports for leadership and funding agencies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations, policies, and accreditation standards.
