Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Program Manager II in Santa Rosa, CA to lead a portfolio of manufacturing programs from concept to launch. You will serve as the primary customer liaison, drive program plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet timelines and budgets.

The role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, creating WBS, managing change control, and applying Lean/Six Sigma for process improvements in new product introductions. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• MS Project proficiency and CAD knowledge (SolidWorks).
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the successful introduction of assigned new projects and programs; single point of contact for customer communication.
• Drive account growth and develop account plans with Business Development Manager.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency; mentor project staff.
• Lead cross-functional project teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.
• Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Gantt charts, action plans, status updates and budget tracking.
• Coordinate validation strategies for new products, transfers and improvements.
• Support quoting, tooling procurement and supplier coordination.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and company procedures.
