Job summary

Google LLC in Mountain View seeks a Program Manager II for Infrastructure Capacity Planning within the Commerce org. You will lead cross‑functional efforts to forecast data center capacity, manage budgets, and coordinate resource allocations across global teams.

You will partner with Ads Resource Engineering, Core, and Search to balance finite compute and storage resources, develop tooling, and drive efficiency while communicating progress and risks across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience with planning or forecasting for data center infrastructure or supply chain.
• Experience managing programs across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual budget planning, quarterly resource ordering, and OpEx tracking for compute, storage, and AI/ML hardware.
• Process, validate, and deliver resource requests to engineering teams.
• Drive resource efficiency, including clawbacks of unneeded resources, to ensure high utilization and cost savings.
• Coordinate closely with other resource pools and Product Area Resource Management teams, particularly Ads Resource Engineering, Core, and Search, to acquire and distribute resources.
• Build tooling and leverage AI to automate and simplify resource management processes.
