Job summary

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services invites applications for the Program Manager I. This role directs the State Mitigation Planning Program, coordinating with the Resiliency Branch Chief and SHMO to review policy, develop plans, and drive program improvements.

Based in Sacramento County with a hybrid telework option, the position requires leading strategic initiatives, attending conferences, and delivering reports to management and executive staff on mitigation planning

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall administration of the State Mitigation Planning Program.
• Reviews federal and state policy and regulatory requirements and proposes strategies for compliance.
• Develops work plans and directs development and implementation of the State Hazard Mitigation Plan in coordination with local, state and federal partners.
