Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a professional to manage the day-to-day operations of a small to medium-sized university program within the Global Hospitality Leadership department.

The role includes supervising staff and student workers, overseeing budgets, and developing procedures. Travel for recruitment events may be required; a Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

  • Must have Bachelor's degree and one year of related professional experience.
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, academic advising, program management, or student services.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruitment events, high school visits, college fairs, and outreach activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
  • Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
  • Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
  • Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, and manuals.
  • Reviews reports of budgets and activities.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Administers grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and operations.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies and procedures.
  • May serve as property custodian for the department.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
