Job summary

United Way for Greater Austin seeks a Program Manager for Healthy Beginnings & Supported Families to oversee multi-million dollar grants, drive strategic partnerships, and strengthen service delivery for families with children.

You will manage grants, budgets, and reporting, collaborate across departments, and lead initiatives that expand home visiting and parent education, aiming to improve outcomes in Travis County.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a non-profit or social service setting, with grant-funded work.
  • Experience developing and managing contracts, agreements, or scopes of work with external partners.
  • Experience managing multiple funding streams and budget priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a connector across organizations, identifying new partnerships to increase impact.
  • Provide guidance on evidence-based model fidelity, regulatory requirements, reporting expectations, and implementation challenges.
  • Lead partner meetings: agendas, discussions, decisions, next steps, and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain budget tracking for the portfolio; monitor expenditures and alignment with grants.
  • Collaborate with finance and program staff to prepare budget revisions and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate collection of programmatic, performance, and outcome data from multiple sources.
  • Prepare funder reports with narratives on impact, targets, challenges, and corrective actions.
  • Use data to inform program planning and continuous improvement in collaboration with the Data Manager.
  • Identify innovative strategies to maximize funding impact and expand services.
