Job summary

United Way for Greater Austin in Austin, Texas seeks a Program Manager, Healthy Beginnings & Supported Families to advance early childhood initiatives and strengthen family supports through home visiting, parent education, and evidence-based programs.

You will manage state-funded grants over $1 million annually, supervise staff as needed, build partnerships, and collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure program impact in Travis County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with grant-funded projects and management responsibility.
• Experience managing contracts with external partners.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a connector across organizations, actively identifying and fostering new partnerships.
• Provide guidance on evidence-based model fidelity, regulatory requirements, and reporting expectations.
• Lead partner meetings, develop agendas, facilitate discussions, and document decisions.
• Develop and maintain budget tracking systems and monitor expenditures across portfolios.
• Coordinate collection of programmatic, performance, and outcome data from multiple sources.
• Prepare funder reports with narratives on impact and challenges.
• Utilize data for program planning and quality improvement with Data Manager.
• Identify and implement strategies to maximize funding impact and expand services.
• May provide direct supervision of staff, interns, and contractors.
