Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a program manager for the Future Operating Model to redefine how Starbucks delivers at scale by advancing the operating model of the coffeehouse, including engine throughput and drive-thru performance.

You will lead complex programs, partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Operations, and drive enterprise decisions to maximize performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in innovation, strategy, operations, manufacturing, engineering, or retail transformation.
• Experience driving cross-functional partnerships in innovation programs, pilots, or transformation initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Experience developing business cases, managing project timelines, and communicating recommendations to senior leaders and cross functional partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance metrics.
• Experience in automation, equipment, operations, or process optimization.
• Drive-thru and production systems experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive drive-thru and engine performance—lead initiatives focused on OTW, throughput, and peak performance optimization.
• Advance automation and equipment innovation—partner with engineering and product teams to develop and scale new capabilities.
• Deliver operational efficiency at scale—improve IPLH, equipment uptime, and cost through system and process innovation.
• Lead complex, cross-functional programs—integrate work across Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Operations to deliver results.
• Balance speed, risk, and impact—drive enterprise decisions and prioritise investments that maximise performance outcomes.
